Signature Solid Surface

Our History

1986

In 1986, brothers Dean and Danny Miller founded Miller’s Custom Cabinets as a two-man custom cabinet shop in Knoxville, MO.

Within a few years, the company grew and relocated to Excelsior Springs, and in 1993 we built a new facility. We’ve always operated on the basic philosophy — treating our customers like family and exceeding expectations.

2001

In 2001, the Miller family opened Signature Solid Surfaces, which has become a state-of-the-art countertop fabrication business.

In 2016 we built a new 18,000 sq ft facility to keep up with Signature Solid Surface’s continuous growth. With the new facility, Signature now stocks more granite and quartz slabs than anyone North of the Missouri river, giving Northland customers the opportunity to pick out their countertop materials without having to drive to Kansas.

Now 2020

2020

After 34 years in the cabinet business and 19 in the granite countertop business we still really enjoy what we do, the people we work for, and the people we work with.

In 2020, we are building a new facility for the cabinet shop. Signature Solid Surfaces and Miller’s Custom Cabinets continue to grow together as we do our best to take care of the needs of our customers.
